WHEE as glimpse of evolution
WHEE was not designed for New Agers, and it is ruthless as to the ‘postmodern’ attack on modern secular civilization. Secular humanism is probably a far better framework for Buddhism and Indic spirituality than the confused mishmash current in most New Age circles.
Let me state categorically that WHEE can give you a ‘glimpse of evolution’, and is unique in that respect.
The new age use of the term ‘evolution’ has distorted its meaning as ambitious gurus try to take control of the idea. But evolution is far larger than a pack of gurus, witness the Axial Age in its great complexity.
Evolution means the emergence of homo sapiens, not a bunch of New Age from people like Andrew Cohen who have wrecked the usage of the word.
