The Gurdjieff Journal—Fourth Way Perspectives—All That Glitters… Crazy Wisdom and Entrepreneurialism in the Spiritual Schools of E. J. Gold

This article critiques Gold but ends up canonizing him in the crazy wisdom bracket. Gold is hard to understand but the key point is that Gold has no realized disciples, and no real disciples. His fourth way school claims should make anyone in his right mind steer clear of Gurdjieff. He is clever, showy, but without intellectual substance and without a single book of any depth or merit. His viciousness and malevolent pursuit of hidden ‘disciples’ is gruesome and should not be graced with crazy wisdom oulala. It is psychic murder in the paranoia a disciple wills surpass his hidden mediocrity. Multiple phases of black magic, blasts of hate to destroy psyche, and the whole nine yards of Crowleyan witchcraft is his only so-called achievement, and he pursued me for decades after a brief visit and years of harsh critique of his so-called school: critics he will set up to destroy. Such people are hard to grasp because they claim enlightenment of a sort. Bullshit. We recommend raja yoga as a key here: there are dozens of states between dharana, dhyan, samadhi, and simple one-pointedness can impress the heck of our new age suckers, nonetheless a non achievement. If you stare at dog shit long enough you can achieve one pointedness of sort.
One pointedness is all you need to be a fake guru. That and ten thousand bad scifi books in his father’s library (his father editor of a scifi mag).
This book is typical of the garbage gold peddles, but it seems to point to a kind of demonology in the gurdjief sphere.
Don’t be tempted: give gold a wide berth…

His speciality is said to be the ‘asshole creep’. He should know.
